How It Works
- 1
Complete the idea template: What problem am I solving? (1 sentence) Who has this problem? (3 examples) Why does it matter? (1 sentence) What would a solution look like? (draw or describe)
- 2
Interview 2–3 people: 'Do you have this problem? How do you solve it now? Would this idea help?' Listen more than you talk.
- 3
Fill out a feedback form for each person. What did they like? What was confusing? Would they use it?
- 4
Analyze: Do people actually want this? Did your idea change based on their feedback?
- 5
Decide: Should I build it? What would I change first?
Your Work
Completed idea sheet + 3 feedback forms + 1-sentence decision: Should I build it?
Parent Notes
This is the first step in entrepreneurship: talk to people before building. Help your child ask open questions ('What do you do now?') instead of leading questions ('Doesn't this solve the problem?'). The goal is honest feedback, not validation.
Reflect
What did you learn? What was hard? What would you do differently next time?
