Poster Sign-Up Test
Turn an idea into a one-page poster, ask an AI for headline ideas, and count how many people say they'd try it before you build anything.
Materials You'll Need
- This printable sheet
- Pencil and markers
- An idea (yours from Your First Idea works great)
- A grown-up's Claude or ChatGPT account, used together
- Up to 10 people you know (family, friends, classmates)

How It Works
- 1
Write your idea as one sentence: 'For [who], [my idea] helps [do what].'
- 2
With a grown-up, ask an AI: 'Give me 3 short poster headlines for this idea: [your sentence].' Write them down. Keep, change, or toss each one. Your own words can win.
- 3
Draw your poster: a headline, one picture, and one line saying what it does.
- 4
With a grown-up nearby, show the poster to up to 10 people you know. Ask: 'Would you try this?' Write first names only. Record every answer in the sign-up tally, including the no's.
- 5
Count the yes answers. Decide: build it, change it, or try a different idea?
Your Work
Fill in your one-sentence idea, the AI's headlines, your poster, and the sign-up tally. Write your decision.

Parent Notes
Founders call this a smoke test: measure interest before building. Stay nearby while your child asks, and keep it to people you both know. Friends tend to say yes to be nice, so the questions people ask are often worth more than the count. Ask: 'If only 2 of 10 said yes, what would you change?'
Reflect
What did you learn? What was hard? What would you do differently next time?
